    How We Work – <\/strong>A typical procedure<\/strong><\/h1>\n
      \n
    • \n
        \n
      • Passenger telephones the Office between 09:00 and 12:00 Monday to Friday.<\/li>\n
      • An Office Coordinator, Carole or Julie, records the trip, taking the necessary details.<\/li>\n
      • The Coordinator seeks an appropriate volunteer driver.<\/li>\n
      • When a driver is found, the Coordinator provides all relevant details to the driver. (An estimate of the cost will be available at this point, if requested)<\/li>\n
      • The driver arrives for the passenger at the appointed time, confirms the destination, return pick-up time and the likely cost based on either the \u2018Standard Fares\u2019 card or on 45p per driven mile for the round trip from driver\u2019s home.<\/li>\n
      • The passenger is taken to the destination and returned home at the agreed time.<\/li>\n
      • The passenger pays the driver.<\/li>\n
      • We also provide a Scheme called Medical Support Funding (MSF). This is to help people on Universal Credit\/Pension Credit. The scheme pays for trips such as Dentist\/Drs\/Opticians\/Other Medical Appts. This payment is a maximum of \u00a330 per trip or \u00a375 per week per passenger.         Great Massingham Area Community Car Scheme is managed by a committee. This meets twelve times a year and its members are:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
