The Office is open from 09:00 \u00a0to 12:00 Monday to Friday except for public holidays. Carole & Julie are our Coordinators. Outside these times, or if we are unable to take your call, please leave a name and telephone number and trip requirements and we will ring back. Trips can be booked weeks in advance, but please try to give four working days notice of the trip. In exceptional circumstances, we will try to arrange a trip at shorter notice but there is a risk we will be unable to find a driver.<\/p>\n

We also need to know about any special needs such as requiring help getting to and from the car, carrying shopping bags and stowing of mobility aids. Please note that our cars are not equipped to take wheelchair-bound passengers but many can accommodate folding wheelchairs. Please tell our co-ordinator if you want to take a walker or folding wheelchair with you. We regret we are unable to accommodate motorised wheelchairs or buggies.<\/p>\n
An additional passenger can usually be included at no extra charge. Please inform the co-ordinator when you make your booking.<\/p>\n
The co-ordinator will give an estimate of the costs involved, including any “dead miles” costs. There is a minimum charge of \u00a32.00. Passengers pay 45p a mile or the standard tariff for their journey plus any parking fees and “dead miles” from the driver’s home to the passenger’s pick up point and return. For more information, including a Q&A paper, please ask us. \u00a0If the passenger plans to remain at the destination for more than 2 hours, the driver may choose to make two round trips and charge twice the normal fare.<\/p>\n
We also provide a Medical Support Funding Scheme (MSF) for passengers on Universal Credit\/Pension Credit. This is where the scheme will pay the driver direct for trips such as Dentists\/Drs\/Opticians\/Other Medical Appts if you meet this criteria. There is a maximum payment from this scheme which is \u00a330 per trip or \u00a375 per week per passenger, the difference being paid by the passenger.<\/p>\n
Most destinations lie within 20 miles of Great Massingham. However, longer journeys (e.g. to Addenbrooke\u2019s, Norfolk & Norwich or Papworth hospitals) can usually be arranged by request.<\/p>\n
We do not routinely call passengers back unless they have asked for this. Passengers are telephoned back if, on rare occasions, it proves impossible to find a driver.<\/p>\n
